Martley Project - Location

The client had given Design It Landscapes a brief that included a large lawn area for children to play with a patio and entertaining area for the adults. The client loved colourful planting and had also requested that there was a brick barbeque with storage and a sunken trampoline for the children to play on.

The garden comprised of oak sleeper retaining walls to create the terraces and level the site and a riven sandstone patio with planting breaking up the space. A wildflower meadow was introduced on the upper terrace along with a deck seating area and a waterfall.

The planting consisted of a variety of herbaceous perennials and shrubs to meet the cottage garden theme given by the client. The retaining walls and steps featured lighting along with festoon lighting along the rear boundary to allow the garden and especially the entertaining space to be used in the evenings.

The garden was designed and built by Design It Landscapes.
